Wisconsin Knife Works has manufactured woodworking knives for 80 years. In fact, as our name implies, knives were our first and our most important product. For reliable, long-lasting knives at competitive prices, look to Wisconsin Knife Works, the Number One company for quality cutting tools.

Manufacturing
WKW's knives are precision ground and machined to tight tolerances, heat-treated for long life, and available in many custom materials and application types.

Inventory
WKW carries a large and diverse inventory of standard stock knives for immediate delivery. Custom knives, made to order, are available.

Quality Control
Our knives are 100% inspected for tight tolerance conformity, craftsmanship and material. Uniform thickness allows for reduced balancing and set up time.

Applications
High Speed Steel is the recommended choice on applications involving most solid, soft and hard woods.  Tungsten carbide is the recommended choice on applications involving abrasive glue lines, difficult solid woods, and composition materials such as MDF and particleboard.

M-2 steel and tungsten carbide are generally recommended in these two areas unless other problems are known to exist. A sharper edge can generally be maintained on steel than on carbide. The use of steel on soft woods will obtain the finest finish and the greatest freedom from tear-out and fuzzing.
